As I was finishing the last episode of Marvel’s Ironheart, something shifted in me. It was a breakthrough episode. Yes, it’s a fictional story, but even fiction carries messages, if you’re open enough to see them. Sometimes these messages aren’t just metaphors-they’re mirrors. And this one reflected something real.
Right before I watched it, I came across a TikTok of a girl having a full-on breakdown. She said she was done with everything-life, people, therapy, spirituality, hope. She talked about feeling cursed, hated wherever she goes, stuck in jobs and friendships that always turn to ash. She said she tried everything and nothing helped. And while she was crying, all I saw was strength. Not weakness. Not failure. Just a powerful being who didn’t even realize how powerful she was.
And then, in the episode, there’s this moment-one of those heavy scenes where Mephisto (played by Sascha Baron Cohen) is speaking to the main character. I don’t remember the exact words, but the energy of it was crystal clear:
“Don’t you feel like no matter how hard you try, everything still falls apart? That everyone hates you? That your whole life is a mess?”
And I sat there like-yes. Because you’re the one doing it. Because you’re draining her spark. Because this is spiritual warfare. Every. Single. Day.
It was so clear to me in that moment: this girl on TikTok, this character in the show, and me-we were all living mirrors of the same thing. When you’re a powerful soul, when you’re connected to Source, you are a threat. And threats get targeted.
The way darkness works is clever. It doesn’t always come as horror or nightmares. It comes as despair. As isolation. As the voice that says: “You don’t matter.” That’s the plan-to separate you from your spark, from your connection to Source, so that you forget who you are. And once that spark is gone, the emptiness sets in. I’ve seen it in people. You can feel it in their presence-their eyes go hollow, their energy collapses inward, and no matter what they do, they can’t fill that void.
In the episode, The Hood-a guy who made a deal with Mephisto-says something like:
“I got everything he promised me… but I still feel empty.”
And I was like: YES. Because you gave away your spark. That emptiness isn’t about missing power-it’s about missing connection. Once you trade away your soul, your essence, that part of you that plugs into truth and light… you lose everything that actually matters.
Watching this, I thought about my own life. The pain. The constant battles. The sense of isolation. The fear that maybe I’ll always be alone, that maybe nothing good will ever come. But then I remember: I know what’s going on. I know who I am.
And then that line came.
“You may know me by many names…“
I said it with him. Because I’ve said that line in my head a thousand times. I have many names. I’ve lived many lifetimes. I carry memories from realms, from other stars, from timelines that don’t exist on paper. None of those names capture the fullness of who I am-but they are all pieces of me. And when I introduce myself in that space between, I always say: You can call me this. Just like Mephisto did. It wasn’t fiction. It was truth echoing through art.
I know I sound crazy to some. I don’t care. Because this is real. This is how spiritual warfare works. This is how they show us through pop culture, hoping only the awakened will catch it.
To the ones who feel like that girl on TikTok-like you’ve tried everything, like you’re cursed, like it will never get better-I see you. I believe you. And I know what you are: a disruptor. A soul too bright to be controlled.
You’re not cursed. You’re under attack. Because you are powerful. Because you are a key part of the resistance against the darkness that feeds on fear, isolation, and despair.
Don’t give up. Don’t hand over your spark. You’re here for a reason.
And yes, it’s annoying as hell. It’s exhausting. But we prevail. Every time. And the moment you look the darkness in the eye with no fear, it flees. Because courage is the only thing that makes fear disappear.
You were not meant to be liked by everyone. You were meant to wake the world up.
So remember who you are. Even if you go by many names.
“They’re trying to break you.
Because you are light incarnate.
Because you shake foundations.
Because when you rise, others rise with you.
So don’t let them take your spark.
Because you were born to set the darkness on fire.”
