Dreams filled with warm touch
While I sit in the coldness of reality

And I stare at the void

Distant
And yet close

Surrounded
And yet alone

What good do my wings serve
If I cannot fly

All these powers
For nothing

Waiting
Running out of patience

Waiting for something that never comes
Forever in the void
Surrounded by nothing but darkness
Faint light of my spark
It’s dying

Hidden
Veiled
Protected

Visions of hope
Driving me crazy
For what is hope without action

Emptiness
Void of promises

Into the mirror verse
Retrieving parts thought were lost forever

Limitless choices
And yet none is right

Holding the key to a nonexistent door

Swimming through air
Looking for refuge

Bare naked in the ocean of emotions

All this energy
For one small crack

Always alone
Always separated
And yet entangled. Connected. One.

Insanity consumes me

And yet surviving

Kneeling winged figure with folded wings in darkness, reflecting inner conflict, isolation, and quiet endurance
Bound
